How To Make Chocolate Mousse



You can try the following chocolate mousse recipe for a dessert at home with your family. It is so easy and practical that everyone can make it for sure, especially for you who are fond of cooking experiment and trying new things for you daily menu. Shortly speaking, Chocolate mousse can be made using the following ingredients.



Ingredients needed tomake chocolate mousse:


  • 200 grams of dark chocolate/cooking chocolate
  • 120 ml warm water
  • 3 eggs; separate each of their yolks
  • 40 grams of confectioner’s sugar
  • whipped cream (optional)



Directions:



  1. Boil some water in a pan.
  2. While waiting for the water to boil, cut up the chocolate. For easy cutting, use a knife with fine tooth for cutting bread.
  3. Put the cut-up chocolate into a heat-resistant bowl, and add the water from the ingredients above into the bowl.
  4. When the water in the pan boils, set the stove to low heat.
  5. Place the heat-resistant bowl containing chocolate cut-ups and water on top of the boiling water. 
  6. Keep the boiling water from getting into the bowl and the bowl from touching the pan walls.
  7. Let the chocolate start to melt until thoroughly smooth, usually for approximately 6 minutes.
  8. Remove the bowl from the boiling water.
  9. Beat the molten chocolate using a mixer until the chocolate looks glossy.
  10. Set it aside to get warm.


 11.  Add the egg yolks into the chocolate, stir well.
 12.    In a separate bowl, beat the white part of the eggs using a mixer until it’s foamy and stiff.
 13.  Put in the sugar and mix well.
 14.  Pour the egg white mixture into the chocolate bowl, mix well.
 15.  Pour the chocolate mousse into 6 glasses, and let it cool in the freezer for 2 hours.
 16.   The chocolate mousse is ready to serve.
